Dear Listers, My great-grandfather died in Nebraska of Nervenfieber. This was the cause of his death listed in the parish registers of Trinity Lutheran Church in Scribner, Nebraska. I looked it up in Thode's Genealogical Dictionary and it defined it as typhus. A more direct translation would be Nervenfieber. A cousin of mine told me that he went to a farm sale and it was raining and he caught pneumonia. Back in 1892 would pneumonia have been considered Nervenfieber? I am adding notes and sources to my family group sheets and I am not familiar with all of the medical terms just some of them. Thank you. Karla --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
