Hello Listeners Is there anyone out there who can tell me what information is on a birth certificate from the church books in Hamburg for 1832, as I know the parents I wondered if it will contain more information to help me find out more about the father and mother. Susan. Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. http://au.movies.yahoo.com
They didn't issue "birth certificates" in Germany in 1832. If you can get a copy of the entry in the church record the answer is yes.....it will help you immensely......it will probably give you the name of the parents on both sides of the family and their place of residence.....and the names of the sponsors.....who are very likely relatives. And their occupations. John "

Susan.....I should also have mentioned that if you know the town in S/H....check for census records.....they are available for that period. Census records for S/H often give the entire family and also give you their date and place of birth. If you'll tell me the town you are interested I MIGHT be able to give you the film number. I used them a lot. John
Susan, I have a copy of my ggg grandfather's christening record from Buesum (Nov. 1832). It has birth and christening date, both parents' names, where they were from, which child he was (i.e. second legitimate child), the 3 sponsors' names and, if female, who their husbands were and where they were from.
