I have traced my family the Wintjen's in London in the early 1800's. At the moment the only Wintjen I have, is Mary Ann Jane Wintjen born in Hackney (district, but think actually Stepney area) on 15th March 1844. She married my Gt. Gt. Grandfather, William Ellett and had 6 or 7 children. In the 1891 Census, William Ellett is registered as widowed, so Mary Anne Jane must have died in her early forties.
