As a newby to German genealogy, I'm hoping somebody can get me started in tracing my gggrandfather's family. He was Simon Michael Hayman and emigrated to Bristol, UK in the 1830's. What census records exist for Holstein? Are there any emigration records? I believe he was of Jewish faith. Any help would be gratefully received. Alan
