Not sure how this would translate to English. More interesting, however, is that he said on his passport application that he was born about 31 December 1873 and he arrived about 15 November 1889 from Hamburg on a ship that seems to be Normanne. Using the immigration records, there is a Johann Frahm, age 16, who arrived 17 Nov 1890 from Prussia on the ship Normannia. The ship's record shows where the passengers hailed from or started from, and Johann is recorded as from Dellstedt. And Dellstedt is described [Wikipedia, German version] as a village north of highway 203 between Heide and Rendsburg in Dithmarschen, Holstein, Germany. On this map, see Rendsburg to the east, Heide to the west and Dellstedt exactly as described, north of highway 203: http://www.geoco.org/germany/Dellstedt/en_54.23_9.37.php Some of my ancestors are from just NE of Heide. I think this is likely to be your John Frahm. Let us know what you think. Barbara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
