He was born on the family's farm "Rudbaek" in North Schleswig and he may have moved to what is now Germany later in life ( as did one of his brothers). Do not be discouraged by the spelling difference Rudbeck/Rudebeck. This was a mistake made by the priest when baptizing Peder. His father's name was Rudbeck. Let me know if we are on the right track.
