If you want to display a GEDCOM file, then I suggest WorldConnect. It makes all the webpages for you, and even has an age-based cut-off for displaying living individuals' information, so that should help in privatizing the file. The downside is that Ancestry will copy it, and in some way distribute it thereafter. So even if you delete it later, it will still exist forever somewhere. Also, linking pictures and things to it would be tricky, at best.   I think it is simply great!!! It is the number one place to go for raw genealogy information. For example, here is my pedigree there (it is from worldconnect, even though that is not obvious from the URL), with all the links therefrom, etc.:   http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=gbonner22&id=I32532   But if you want to display other information, like documents, pictures, and all that, then I suggest freepages. It is free. And free is a tough price to beat. For example, my page there:   http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gbonner/   You will probably need some experience in coding HTML to do something like the immediate above. It's actually pretty easy to code a basic page, though.
