Where do I start with looking up any records to see if I can find where my Great grand father came from. Karl Theodor Gottfried Albrecht HARTMANN The first record I have of him is his marriage to Ottoine Onsberg in Horsens City 1796 He was a Company Surgeon . The next is the 1801 Fredericia Census I have the children records from the Churches St Michaelis and Trinitatis Fredericia. I can't seem to find him or his family in the danish ones , so would like to look in the Slesvig or Holstein Aileen Young
