Hello Stephen, Since you said you were finding parents' and children's names, I am guessing you are looking at baptism records. Baptism records that I have from Schleswig-Holstein typically incude: Date of birth / Date of baptism / Name of child / son of or daughter of / occupation of father / father's name / father's location, where from / mother's name / where mother was from / if the baptism was at church or at home / the names and home locations of the godparents. The reference to son or daughter may include whether they were legitimate. Hope that is helpful. The handwriting isn't too bad, but it would help to know what sort of information is contained in the entry. I can make out the name of the child and the parents. What else would typically be there? thanks, Stephen Pegler **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges?
