Hello fellow researchers, While I have done Genealogy for over 20 yrs I am just starting to tackle research in Kronprinzenkoog. I would like to communicate with anyone that has done some research in that area. Where would you begin? What I know is: Johan Jansen was born Sept 20, 1837 in Kronprinzenkoog (I do not know who his parents were.) He married Antje Christina Friesmann in abt 1858. She was born Oct 1834 in Kronprinzenkoog.. Her parents were Lambert Ihnen Friesmann and Margretha Dorothea Haverbier (b. Hamburg abt 1800 or 1802). They emmigrated in 1869, ending up in Iowa, USA. Any help with information on what records are available and where they are located would be of great help to get me started.
