I too have ancestors from Kronprinzenkoog, about 10 or 15 yrs ago I wrote to the Pastor of the church in Marne Kurt B. Segebrect pastor em. Oesterstr. 10 DW 2222 Marne/Holstein Germany He was very helpful, told me how much for each lookup and what small church to contact. I think the Church in Marne was in charge of the small nearby town Churches. What I know is: Johan Jansen was born Sept 20, 1837 in Kronprinzenkoog (I do not know who his parents were.) He married Antje Christina Friesmann in abt 1858. She was born Oct 1834 in Kronprinzenkoog.. Her parents were Lambert Ihnen Friesmann and Margretha Dorothea Haverbier (b. Hamburg abt 1800 or 1802). They emmigrated in 1869, ending up in Iowa, USA. Any help with information on what records are available and where they are located would be of great help to get me started.
