Hello, A Jurgen Heesch born about 1853 is listed on the Rootdigger Web site for Schleswig-Holstein. You can see the entry by going to this Web page at the site: http://www.rootdigger.de/Emi.htm Then click on H on the left side, and that will begin downloading a long list of emigrants, names starting with H. Click to allow the document to open. Then scroll down until you find him. Unfortunately no parents' names for him. The Web site owner or someone else on this list might know also about the location you list, Luderheisledt. I cannot find it -- or anything close -- via Google or on lists of Holstein towns and villages, so perhaps it is spelled some other way? Also there is a Yurgen Heesch, age 18, a farmer, who arrived in New York City on 4 April 1872 on the ship Cimbria from Hamburg via Le Havre, and is not with other individuals of that name. Perhaps this is your husband's great grandfather. I have appreciated working with Klaus Struve, owner of Rootdigger. Feel free to email me. Best wishes, Barbara ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2008 3:03:37 PM Subject: [SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS] Jurgen Heesch This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I don"t know who his parents were. He appears to have come alone and no one is living who would know about him.
