Johann died of TB in 1826. Family records and ship passenger records have Claus born in 1923 (not what the census records indicate). He immigrated in 1869. I think he and his family was on the same ship as his mother and half sister and brother. I have seen his passenger record but do not seem to have a copy but my notes indicate he was. By 1880 he was in Homer, Benton, Iowa (census). Later he moved to Plymouth Co. Iowa. Email me at [email protected] I may have more information.
