He was a shoemaker. I have information their son, Johann, was born in Schuby, Schleswig Holstein on 27 Feb 1869. He immigrated with Margaretha to the US in 1884, but I am not sure if they lived in Schuby the whole time. They also had children named Peter (b. 15 Feb 1858), Hans Henry (b. 1 Aug 1863), and Claus.
