I'm in the midst of research involving the Schoel family who came to America from Germany. My understanding is that Johanna Schoel (Spreet is also listed as a last name for her) and five sons came here from Germany, though at different times. I'm not familiar with Krause/Kruse or Fischer names. Before settling in Birmingham, they were in Chicago and then Cullamn, AL.
