Censuses were taken by the Germans, evaluated for the purposes that censuses are taken for, and the lists were destroyed afterwards. Probably sold for pulping oand making cardboard or wallpaper of them. That is my knowledge of the German censuses (Germany from 1871 on, before that Prussia, 1867 on). I would be happy to be taught wrong on this subject. But I fear this won't happen. Only the Danes have preserved the original forms from the times of their influence.
