Hoping some one has New info on the Peters Family My G - G - GrandMother Webka Margaretha (Family Name Unknown) born Aug 1835 Germany, was married to Johan Peters born about 1824 in Schleswig-Holstein and died their. Webka and her children got a letter from an Uncle in Illinois in the USA,( we don't have the name of the Uncle and don't no if he was a Peters or some one from Webka's family) so they departed in two groups Webka and sons Claus Hinrich born 17 Aug 1866 in Hennsted and Peter born 1876 and Daughter Alwine born 1865 and her son Amiel George born 21 Jan 1884, departed Hamburg, Germany and Le Havre, France on the ship Westphalia and arrived in the USA on 27 Mar 1883 in New York. Her son Hans Johan born 1857 and Daughter Louise Kathrina born 16 Dec 1860 came on a different ship. ( I can't find records ) Louise married John P. Behrens in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota on the 22 Oct 1883. John P. Behrens was born 8 Oct 1853 Schleswig-Holstein too, So they may have been on the same ship to the USA. Hans Johan Peters disappeared after he got to the US. and Alwine Peters Disappeared and left her son Amiel George Peters to be raised by her Brother Claus Hinrich Peters. Claus changed his name to Henry Claus Peter after entering the US. He married Antonie Marie Hickstein in Washington State, she was born 2 Dec 1881 in Pyritz, Pomerania to August Hickstein and Caroline Houk and immigrated to the USA, August had died in Germany he was in the Army, Caroline came to live by her brother in Washington State in the US.
