    1. Re: [SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN-ROOTS] Peters Family
    2. Dear Diana, I stopped at the Family History Center for you this morning, to look at the Birth, Marriage, and Death indexes of the Hennstedt Parish Records that I have on indefinite loan. These are films from the Family History Library on Salt Lake: 1198870, 1198871, and 1198872. There were lots of Peters, so I thought that I would be able to find some of the names quite easily, but that was not the case. I thought that the marriage index would reveal an entry for them in 1824, and with that we could find out Wiebke's name. I have wondered if when your family said Hennstedt, if they didn't mean that Hennstedt was the larger place and it was actually one of the smaller villages within the parish--much like we say 'the Seattle area' or the 'near Spokane.' If you have any questions about using FamilySearch I would be glad to help you...
