    3. Diana, I have been searching and reading your e-mail about Peters family and trying to piece it to my ancestors from the Hennstedt and Schlichting area. And I did have a great grandfather that lived in Illinois from 1872-1881. His name was Hinrich Lorenz. He was related to Carstens, Wulfs, and Kuhls in the Hennstedt area. He had many older Lorenz siblings of which I have never been able to trace as only 2 came to the US that I know about. But somewhere I have something that has a Peters as a baptism sponsor or something but have looked through and can't find it. I have this website which contains census from S-H and maybe you can piece together some info for your family. I did find all my ancestors listed since I knew where they came from. Where did you find the info for the birth records of Webka and Johan? Hinrich Lorenz's wife was a Kuhl, Hinrich being from Schlichting, and in the Wulf line Nicolaus Wulf was married to a Kuhl also and the Wulf's were from Hennstedt. So we are searching from the same area. Lorenz's came to Chicago and were married there, Wulf's went to Pt. Clinton, OH and then all came to Nebraska around 1880. This is the census website that has many Peters from this area. Put in Hennstedt in first location think it is dorf - place. The year can be set too and the 1860 yeaar is about the last that had most info on Peters. We wish it was completed further. But it is something to work with if you know more about your Peters family. This is the website : http://danishgenealogy.homestead.com/danishgenealogy.html Go to the bottom where it is listed as Schleswig-Holstein Census. 3. Janis, I just read my Great Grandfathers story again and on his immigration records it has him going to Illinois. and in his story it has them ending up in Omaha, Nebraska living with and Uncle for two months. and in Nebraska is were his sister left her son with him and then disappeared. From their he went to Minnesota, Washington State, Idaho and back to Washington State were he died in Spokane, Washington. So the Uncle must have moved to Nebraska, your story of your Family in Illinois and them moving to Nebraska is so much the same story in my Great Grandfathers story. Your Family went to Nebraska in 1880 and my Family in 1883. ( maybe we are related and maybe not, but it sounds fishy) I got Johan Peters birth date from the record my cousin Rose has, I think it was a vaccination record and he was age 11 in 1835. and I got Webka Margaretha ? from her head stone in Leland, Idaho. I will have to email Rose and see what she thinks about this. 3. Hi Listers, I am still looking for the family of my Margaret PETERS. She married Johann CLASSEN (Claussen, Clasen, Clausen, etc.) of Sankt Annen about 1765. They had at least one child, Wiebke Classen, who married Johann Haack in Wesselburen in 1790. Best, Gregg Bonner Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
