Eidelstedt is a district of Hamburg. I am not sure, but before WW2 I think it was a suburb of Hamburg. Loruperstrasse is not the right name for sure. Lurup is another district of Hamburg (as well a former suburb) next to Eidelstedt and I think the right spelling should be Luruperstrasse. Today there is no street called Luruperstrasse. Maybe it has existed before Eidelstedt, Lurup etc. became part of Hamburg and grew together. In Hamburg you can find 'Luruper Weg', 'Luruper Hauptstrasse' (Lurup Main Street), 'Luruper Drift' and 'Luruper Chaussee'. None of them is in Eidelstedt, all are located in Lurup or Halstenbek. The phone register of Hamburg returns thirty entries with the name 'Tonn'. If you use 'Timm' there are much more. Btw. 'Timm' is the maiden name of my mother. all after about year of chasing other brick walls decided to try this one again my g'father Johan Heinrich Wilhelm Köster was born in Osterwanna in 1868 to Peter Marcus Heinrich Köster and Margarethe Dorothea (Seeborg) Köster Johan Heinrich came to U.S. in about 1884-1886 and i have lots of information after that - i'm looking for futher information on his family in Germany does anyone have any connections -----or suggestions for futher online research i could do -----i'm limited to online research right now -as i'm in the U.S. i would certainly appreciate any help - steph

He was born on the family's farm "Rudbaek" in North Schleswig and he may have moved to what is now Germany later in life ( as did one of his brothers). Do not be discouraged by the spelling difference Rudbeck/Rudebeck. This was a mistake made by the priest when baptizing Peder. His father's name was Rudbeck. Let me know if we are on the right track. I have a Nicolay Heinrich Boysen in my family tree. He married my great aunt Magdalena Petria Momsen in Emmelsbull in 1870. I don't know much more about them. Hallo I am looking for information about Gertrud Margaretha Wetendorf, born in Fehmarn Germany 15 April 1850. She was working as "Dienstmagd" in Friedrichsort near Kiel and got twins (two boys Ferdinand and Friedrich) with my grand grandfather Ferdinand Heinrich Theodor Prüss 19 February 1879. The parents were not married and the children were left as "Kostkinds" to a man in Kiel. My grand grandfather moved to Sweden in February 1879 and married a 20 year older woman only a few months later. In 1882 he went to Germany and brought Ferdinand (Friedrich was dead) with him to Sweden, where he grew up. What happened with Gertrud Margaretha Wetendorf? She is in fact my grand grandmother! I have found in Family Search that a Gertrud Wetendorf married Frank Meyer in Manhattan New York 14 August 1886. The name of her parents is the same that I have found out as parents to "my" Gertrud Margaretha Wetendorf. Did she emigrate to Amerika? I can´t find her in any emigrationregisters.
