Rowland, I can't see a connection with my Wulf for Antje Wolf Wulf and I have a very detailed list of families but her generation is in between most of mine. The family of my grt. grandfather started for me in Hennstedt, back to Dätgen, then Langwedel, and to Bordesholm. So as the generations went they moved west. I was able to trace them through Family Search. Claus Wulf b 15 Nov 1805 was son of Johann Hinrich b 1760, son of Hans Wulf b 1728, and Hinrich b 1702. And it also listed their families too. So someone has been searching but can't find our who. I have an Elizabeth Cathrina Schnack b 1781 and married Hans Hinz of Kosel but that is the closest name to Schmuck. Looking for descendants of Hans Ernst Moeller & VoB (?) Abel Margaretha. Also for Johann Friedrich Ernst & Anna Katharina Krambeck. What does VoB stand for in front of Abel Margaretha?
Related to the Pegler message below: I have a Friederica Maria Sophia Moeller born about 1805 who married Andreas Bartolin Christensen (Christiansen) 26 April 1829 in Flensburg. This Friederica was the daughter of Christian Hansen Moeller and Anna Maria Soennichsen. Johann Peter Christiansen, son of Friederica and Andreas emigrated to England and then to Canada in the 1870's. Elsie Heinrick ________________________________________________________________________ In relation to the following record: Napoleon Mecklenburg wurde am 18.05.1806 in Blanckenburg, Kirchengemeinde Moldenit geboren. Seine Eltern waren Friedrich Mecklenburg und Friederica Müller aus Tönning. I'm looking for the Friederica Muller/Moller. She would have been born before 1790, most likely. I've searched the Tonning records with no luck so far. Is there another place to search besides the obvious Tonning on the west coast of Schleswig? many thanks, Stephen Pegler
The information on my Moeller family is what I had listed before on my message. I don't have any dates or know much about the Moeller family only what I have posted. I don't know where they were from in Schleswig-Holstein but think the area where the Wulfs were from Schlichting - Hennstedt area. Sorry I can't help you with more and a connection. Who were these people? They were connected to my Moeller families. Who were their children? When and where were they born? When and where were they married? Thanksso much for your time and help with my families.

Wow how very cool. Thanks so much for your help.
These people were my 3rd great-grandparents on my fathers' mothers' side. The grandparents of my Detlef Friedrich Wilhelm son of Johann Friedrich & Maria Christina (Naeve) Moeller. They may have been in the Duchy of Schleswig-Holstein. Or possibly in Denmark? Interested in finding the Krambeck lineage.

I have found these definitions too. However, since these terms are used for the deaths of infants, I don't think gout is likely. I don't know what "attack of pestilence" might mean in these records. I looked up complications of measles in a Merck manual, and found encephalitis--perhaps this is what meant by Gehirnleiden. I hope there is someone out there with knowledge of medical knowledge in the 1800s and of German terms used for medical conditions in the old church records of that period. Thank you again. Seeing the Moller information on this list I am trying to find more about the husband of Catharina Magdalene Wulf (Wulff). She being born in Hennstedt around 1841 to Claus Wulf and Catharina Hustedt of Hollingstedt. Johann Hinrich Moller was married to Catharina Wulf and may have lived in Barkenholm. There first child was born there 3 Sep 1874, Another daughter born 20 Apr 1878. Both came to the US and married Gudegast brothers, one married in Germany and one in the US. Another daughter was Wilhemia Moller who married Julius Carstens and had a son Johann who came to the US. They lived in Schlicting. Another daughter was Maria Moller who we think lived also in Schlicting. If any one had more information on this Moller family please send an e-mail to me.
