Jan 1858 in MD (parents born in Germany) and Catharine b. July 1858 in MD (her parents both born in Germany) They married in 1879. George had a brother Henry b. 5.1885, sisters Eva b. 5/1883, Rosa b. 8/1889, Brother Frank b. 7/1891, Edward 9/1896 and sister Louisa b. 11/1898 George's father Henry was the oldest of 12. One of Henry's brothers, Joseph was my mother-in-law Gertrude Schirmer's Grandfather. Henry and Joseph's parents were August and Mary Katharina Denz Schirmer. They were both born in Saxony, Germany but came over separately and met here. August b. 24 Feb 1835 and Mary b. 15 Feb 1838. He came in 1854 and she in 1852.
