AT THAT TIME I DID NOT KNOW WHERE IN GERMANY THE SCHEERS CAME FROM. I RECENTLY FOUND A PASSPORT APPLICATION FOR CAROLINE SCHEER. SHE STATES SHE WAS BORN IN MEIERSBURG (MEYERSBURG). THIS IS IN THE FAR NORTH EAST PART OF GERMANY. THE FAMILY SAILED FROM STETTIN WHICH IS NOW SZEZIN, POLAND. DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR TO ANYONE?
