Their name at this point was Scheerer when Johannes was born in 1705. He was born in Alsace. He married Christina (unknown last name). Their Son Andre was my gggggrandfather. This is where the last name changed to Scheer. I don't know when he was born, but married Feb 9, 1773 to Maria Krauss. They had a son, Andre, who was born Aug 15, 1786 and married Anna Marguerite Bowe. He was a weaver. My ggggrandmother was Marguerithe Scheer, born 1820, also in Alsace. The town was Mertzweiller.
