One was a tailor and the other a shoemaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Parents were Josef and Elizabeth (Weitz or Wirtz) Scheer of Germany. They came from a very military family and had said they were related to the Admiral Scheer of the German Navy of WWI. Other possible older relatives buried with them in Cleveland are Ann Scheer, Emerich Scheer and Mathius Scheer.
