I have a Jacob Scheer in my family tree also. My Jacob was b abt 1813, married to Elizabeth Stork. He was buried in Bellefontaine cemetery in St Louis, Mo in October 1901. One was a tailor and the other a shoemaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Parents were Josef and Elizabeth (Weitz or Wirtz) Scheer of Germany. They came from a very military family and had said they were related to the Admiral Scheer of the German Navy of WWI. Other possible older relatives buried with them in Cleveland are Ann Scheer, Emerich Scheer and Mathius Scheer.

During his career, he danced in Broadway shows, performed with the Rogers and Wynn act at the Palace Theater and performed with Betty Masters in Las Vegas. Born Oct. 7, 1907, in New York, he was a son the late Aaron and Hilda WISER SCHEER. He had formerly resided in Flemington, and Union Township before moving to Clinton Township in 1987.
