My husband recently found a letter from a Philip J. Scheer of Benner St., Tiffen OH written in June of 1929 to Orsin Larue Sobley in Ethelsville, AL (my husband's ggrandfather). In the letter, Philip refers to himself as "uncle". Orsin's mother Mary was a Scheer. I looked at the census for 1930 and the Philip Scheer living on Benner St. was married to Rufene.
