    3. I'm looking for any information regarding Zachariah W. ARNOLD and his brothers, James Arnold and William Arnold. Am trying to find out who their parents were. The brothers all left South Carolina around 1840 and moved to Tippah County, Mississippi. Through misc. documents in the 1800's, I find that these Arnolds lived in the area between the towns of Greenwood and Cokesbury, near a plantation named "Arnold" (just north of Deadfall). According to an old 1820 map, this section is now Greenwood County. Can anyone tell me about the area or how Deadfall got it's name? Other families that were neighbors to my Zachariah W. Arnold were: John Arnold and Barbara Pettus; James W. Pettis (or Pettus); Anna Louis Shotwell; Frederick Gray; Casander Gray; Logan family; Davenport family; Graves, Skinner, Reynolds, Bostick, Cochran, and Buchanan families. They all had dealings with my Zachariah W. Arnold between 1820-1840 in SC and some of these people moved to Tippah County, Mississippi with him in 1840. If anyone is researching these families or knows anything at all about the area, I would love to hear from you. Please email me at kklaes@inu.net
