    1. [SCGREENW] Rykard family
    2. Beth Boysworth Hemingway
    3. I recently found out that my grandfather was married before he married my grandmother. He was married to a woman named Sallie. I find her in the 1910 census of Greenwood Co. She is listed in the family as follows: Rykard, Mrs. JW, Head, F,W, 60, Widowed-Farmer Rykard, JP, Son, M, W, 33, Single-Carpenter Boysworth, Sallie, Daughter, F, W, 30, Single-Not employed Rykard, Wesley, Son, M, W, 28, Single-Farmer My grandfather was Rupert Boysworth. (The name is often misspelled as-Bosworth, Baysworth) He was from McCormick, SC. He lived in the Plum Branch area, which was of course Edgefield Co at the time he was born. He, for some reason, moved to Augusta, GA around 1912. In the Augusta Chronicle in 1915 is a notice of a divorce for Rupert and Sallie Baysworth. I have a copy of the divorce record. It says the defendant, Salle, was not in the state of Ga. My guess is she abandoned him, don't know. I am trying to find any information on her or this Rykard family. Maybe she never remarried, don't know that either. I know nothing other than what I have sent here. I would like to find out where she may be buried, when and where they got married, if they had children; anything I can find on her and her family. ANY information would be greatly appreciated. I haven't looked at any other census records for this family. I have also not been able to find Rupert in 1910. He was living with his mother in 1900 and in 1920, he is living with my grandmother and their oldest child. No clue where he was in 1910. Thanks for any help and/or advice.
