Hello, In the 1900 census are the following households with Stukes children living with them as boarders. I am trying to find out what happened to these children. 1) Greenwood Co, Callison TWP, page 264 John P. The parents of the Stukes children were J. J. Stukes who died in 1898 and Sophie E. Stukes who was in the State Insane Asylum at least twice and she died in 1903 shortly after she was admitted. I do not know the maiden name of Sophie. If anyone knows who she was and can let me know who her family was I would really appreciate it. I don't know whether to contact the Probate Office to see if there was some kind of guardianship papers drawn up for these teenagers. I have searched everywhere and cannot find any record of these Stukes. I looked in the SSDI and could not find either of the Stukes males. I had assumed Mabell had married and here name would be changed. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Terry Griffin Britt (female) Florence, SC
