Mr. Bailey. Tabernacle was at one time a community - I don't know whether the community developed around the Church or vice versa. It was a Methodist Church/community with an accademy. The Church has long been gone but the cemetery is still there and, I believe, maintained by the Greenwood County Historical Society. I have not lived in the Greenwood area in years but still visit there occasionally. My info is based largely on memory and its accuracy may be questioned but I think is reasonably correct.
