    1. "SALUDA REGIMENT" in 1850 Abbeville Census Index

    3. Hello, Forgive my repetitive cross-postings, but I'm not certain which list's members may have the answer to my questions. The AIS Census Index for the 1850 Federal Population Schedule for Abbeville "County" (i.e., at that time, District) lists "Saluda Regiment" under "Township or Other Info." Can anyone tell me what Saluda Regiment was; approximately where it was located; what earlier Enumeration Distirct it might have replaced; and/or why it appears neither before or after the 1850 Census, at least not for any of the WALLER family members I'm researching. They are: William W. WALLER, pg 112 in 1850 Peleus A. WALLER, pg 114 in 1850. "No Township Listed" in 1860 entries (pgs. 046 & 047) Nancy WALLER, pg 115 in 1850. "No Township Listed" in 1860 entry (pg 066) John WALLER, pg 123 in 1850. TIA for your assistance and have an enjoyable and safe weekend. Judith in Brooklyn
