Hi I am new to the list I am looking for some information on my William Mathis McDougal family line. My William Mathis McDougal was born Abt. 1795 in South Carolina. Feburary 17,1857 in Greenville County South Carolina. He is buried in the McDaniel & Griffith Cemetary in Mauldin,South Carolina. William Mathis was married to Mary Lydia "Polly" Griffith I do not have the marriage date for there marriage. Mary Lydia Griffith was born Abt. 1815. There daughter was name Hannah Carolina McDougal and she married to james Samuel Payne on August 12,1851 in Greenville County South Carolina. My William Mathis McDougal parents were Hezekiah McDougal and Martha Mathis. Hezekiah McDougal was born on Oct. 3,1767 and Died in Milan,Tn. Martha Mathis died on Sept. 2,1847 in Cherokee County South Carolina. She is buried in Goucher Baptist Church Cemetary. Which is in Cherokee Co. S.C. also.
