    3. Milledge Bonham Lipscomb married my ggreat aunt Mary Florida Bunting in Madison, Florida, just after the WBTS circa 1867. They had a daughter and my ggreat aunt died in 1868. Milledge moved back to Ninety Six with his daughter and must have married Mary Motte. Their graves are located in the City cemetery of Ninety Six, South Carolina. I need help in finding out the name of this daughter and about her life, who she married, children and their families etc. They might also want to learn about the Bunting family and their history from Edgefield to Abbeville to Madison, Florida. 1. [SCGREENW] Rykard family
    2. Beth Boysworth Hemingway
    3. I recently found out that my grandfather was married before he married my grandmother. He was married to a woman named Sallie. I find her in the 1910 census of Greenwood Co. She is listed in the family as follows: Rykard, Mrs. JW, Head, F,W, 60, Widowed-Farmer Rykard, JP, Son, M, W, 33, Single-Carpenter Boysworth, Sallie, Daughter, F, W, 30, Single-Not employed Rykard, Wesley, Son, M, W, 28, Single-Farmer My grandfather was Rupert Boysworth. (The name is often misspelled as-Bosworth, Baysworth) He was from McCormick, SC. He lived in the Plum Branch area, which was of course Edgefield Co at the time he was born. He, for some reason, moved to Augusta, GA around 1912. In the Augusta Chronicle in 1915 is a notice of a divorce for Rupert and Sallie Baysworth. I have a copy of the divorce record. It says the defendant, Salle, was not in the state of Ga. My guess is she abandoned him, don't know. I am trying to find any information on her or this Rykard family. Maybe she never remarried, don't know that either. I know nothing other than what I have sent here. I would like to find out where she may be buried, when and where they got married, if they had children; anything I can find on her and her family. ANY information would be greatly appreciated. I haven't looked at any other census records for this family. I have also not been able to find Rupert in 1910. He was living with his mother in 1900 and in 1920, he is living with my grandmother and their oldest child. No clue where he was in 1910. Thanks for any help and/or advice. 3. Found a bunch of Roper wills and administrations. I have an interest in this family, as I found Nancy COURSEY in the 1850 Edgefield Co., SC Census as follows: A Nancy Coursey b. 1818 can be found living in the household with Julian Roper female age 50 and Benjamin Roper 17, farmer, James 11 and John 9. Need to recheck. I think Benjamin is son, but don't have age for him. Is Nancy her widowed daughter. At this time all this is speculation. Wiley Coursey who had wife Nancy is not found in the 1850 census, so assume he may be deceased. Maybe she is his wife. All speculation at this time. Looking for answers. I am especially interested in Coursey connection in Edgefield Dist, SC. Does this group connect to Capt. James Coursey who married Winnifred Riddle in VA? If so, how does the Coursey group connect to that line? Or to the Lewis Coursey who married Jeannette Sheppard, Newberry Co., SC?? Billie Jones Camden, SC tjones@camden.net

    3. Daniel, The Index-Journal is on-line and may have it in their archives. It's very doubtful though. If you will go to: http://www.raogk.org/ You will find information on volunteers who look up information for people. It's called Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness. You can look in the state and county you need information on people about and they have their names and email addresses listed. Be sure you read the directions and comply. 3. Can't help you on the Greenwood Mills, but it sure seems like they should. I hadn't thought about that for my own research, but let us all know if you find out anything. If you get a chance to go to Greenwood, try the old Ellis Funeral home Records at the Harley Funeral Home in Greenwood. Harley has their old books, and i found info. about the parents of some of my Greenwood connected families there. Their information is a Gold Mine if someone would just take the time to transcribe them. Have thought about doing it myself, but don't think I have the time. Would be a good project for the 96th dist Gen. society, but I mentioned that and there was a hint that there were not enough folks interested in volunteering to do that large a project. Another possiblity --- hospital care after the accident? 2. My grandfather Ira W. MAJOR,(1869-1937) has been a brick wall. We know very little about him other than that he worked at the Greenwood Mill for many years, and lost a leg in an accident there sometime after 1900. Does anyone know if the Greenwood Mill would keep personnel records from the early 1900's? Deborah

    3. Hello Greenwood, Trying to find parents and siblings (any family actually) of Rayford Douglas Gambrell. Trying to link him to my Gambrells and have very little info. Do know that he was found murdered in 1972. He was supposedly a Pharmacist. I believe he married an Aubrey Andrews and they had two daughters. Thanks, John
