Debby Neves Resolution of Respect Fairview S.C., Feb. 3, 1897 At the last meeting of the Fairview Stock, Agriculture and Mechanical association the following resolutions were unanimously passed: Whereas God in his All-wise Providence has taken from our ranks our friend and comrade, David M. Peden; and whereas, we recognize fully the loss that we have sustained. Now therefore be it Resolved, 1st, That in his death this club has lost one of it's charter members, a wise counselor, a faithful friend, and a zealous worker. Resolved further, that in community has lost a kind and sympathizing friend, one ever ready to lend a helping hand to all who were in trouble or need. Resolved further, that we bow in humble submission to the will of our Heavenly Father who doeth all things well, and to extend our sympathy to the ones who are left sorrowing, and that a page in our minute book be devoted to his memory and that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the Greenville News and Mountaineer for publication.
