I recently acquired a photograph of a young man in his late teens or early twenties. He is wearing a military looking uniform with the initials C.A.C. on the collar. The studio is Harry Wallace of Anderson, South Carolina. Hand written on the outside of the folder is "W.L. Garrison - 1921." On the interior is written "William Garrison - Peabody - 1921." It is likely that Peabody refers to Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee - now a part of Vanderbilt University. My conclusions are that the photograph is of a William L. Garrison from South Carolina who attended a military school before attending Peabody College in Nashville, TN in 1921. It is also possible that he is pictured in a World War I uniform, but it just doesn't have that feel. The SSDI lists one likely individual: William L. Garrison (1902-1988) with a last residence of Greenville (Greenville County), South Carolina. Please drop me a note if any of this sound like your line. Thanks - Edward Carter, Murfreesboro, TN.
