Recently, I came into the possession of an account book for the Hardy Jones Gilreath General Store. Just wanted you to know that Smiths are mentioned in it as making purchases. It covers a period form 1852 to at least 1854...where I am now reading. This store was in the Jackson Grove Community of Greenville CO, SC and probably across the road from the current Jackson Grove Methodist Church. To anyone who has ancestores in this area during this time period...I would be glad to do look-ups. It will take a while, but I hope to eventually indes the book. Of course there are a lot of Gilreaths mentioned.
