His father (Lewis Oliver Dollison aka Donaldson) was also born and raised in Greenville. Lewis' father (Joe Dollison) was a slave. He married Josephie Hamilton and they are the ones who eventually moved from the Laurens area to Greenville. My great grandmother was Lillie McClintock. She was born in Laurens.
