My ancestor, Thomas HOOD b 1762 in VA, m Sarah MORGAN 6 Mar 1781 in Wilkes Co., NC. Resided in Pendleton Co., then Greenville Co., SC. Using the census records available, it appears he may have had a son Nipper b 1784/1785. According to census records available for Nipper, his two sons were b 1810-1820. I have tried to put this family together through census records and land records, I don't claim to be correct, but it looks pretty good. I show Thomas and Sarah also had a son, Thomas Jr., b abt 1783/84. According to those same census records, his oldest son was b abt 1794/1800, if he were born 1798 I guess at 14 he could have served in the War of 1812. That's a reach, but stranger things have happened. There is another Thomas HOOD, cousin to my Thomas. He was b in 1758 in/around Prince William Co., VA. After the RW he was in Pendleton Co., SC for 25 years before moving to White Co., TN. I know nothing more about his family, except that he may have had a son William.
