on the Greenville census for 1790 is a John McAfee. I am looking for a John McAfee but he is shown alone and then in 1800 he is gone. there is also a Robert McAfee same time but he is on the 1800 census. My John went to Garrard co. KY. and is on the tax roll by 1797. I know that John married Sally, or Almira/Alvira, Reed in 1793... believe he would have done that in Greenville Dist. also but no records that far back. we have only that he came from NC but so did most others so that no help. Have never been able to find who his father was but would assume it to be John, James, George , Andrew or William as those names repeat themselvv es in every generation after John begins having children in KY. It is said in written family history that John was influenced by his Uncle who was traveling with Daniel Boone to move on to KY. Now if I knew who that Uncle was that would help. any help for me or is it a lost cause. billie mcafee harris...The Robert McAfee that is still around in 1800 would surly be related if I could have someone tell me who he was or his father etc.
