My GG-G'mother was Eliza WHAM [of the WHAM family that lived in the Fairview Presbyterian Church area]. She first married Wm. Elkanah MARCHBANKS and had one child, Barbara GAULT MARCHBANKS (named for her maternal grandmother, Barbara GAULT WHAM). Shortly afterwards, Elkanah/Caney was killed in VA/WVA during the aftermath of Gettysburg. Eliza WHAM MARCHBANKS married an ESKEW after her husband was killed. I have never found out much about her and her second family. I do know that she had at least one daughter. I would love to know more about her "other family" and would especially like to know where she is buried. Thank you for any assistance with this. Eliza Marchbanks, b. ca. 1834 married Maj. William T. Eskew, ca. 1868 and had Elizabeth, b. 1869; and Margaret A., b. 1871. William was born ca. 1826 and married 1st Margaret.
