I am descended from Barbara GAULT, b. 1808, place unknown, d. 1890, Greenville Co., SC, buried Fairview Presbyterian Church, Fountain Inn area, Greenville, SC. She was the wife of the Hon. Wm. WHAM, and the dau of John GAULT & Elizabeth ???. John GAULT was the son of ??? GAULT & his wf. Ellenor MITCHELL [she later married a GREER, acc. to some court papers]. There was another son William GAULT. John GAULT had two daus. acc. to the info I had - Barbara [ment. above] and Ellenor. Were these his only children? I found the following in the 1860 Census: 1860 Census, Greenville Dist., SC, Dublin Division, Dublin P.O., p. 263, taken 8th of October: Jane Gault 60 F Housekeeper Tina? Harrison 70 F Domestic Next house: John Gault 25 Farmer Permacy? 23 Housekeeper Jane 3 James 2 Eliza 6/12 Can someone offer any other info that will tie this later John GAULT to the earlier one?
