There was a William Choice who married Caroline Cleveland, daughter of Jeremiah Cleveland (who became one of Greenville's wealthiest citizens, and is mentioned as a local merchant by 1805), in Greenville in 1832. This may not be the generation you are looking for, but perhaps the right family. This is from A.V.Huff's book, "Greenville". William Choice was a nullifier candidate for the legislature in 1832--he lost, but remained prominent in affairs of Greenville for many years. The only other mention of the Choice family other than this William is a list of families including a Choice family in adjacent Laurens County, just over the river from Greenville, in 1785--I don't know if the above William Choice descended from this family..
