I dont live in the area but have heard that there is a fence. Do you know if there is a part of it that doesnt have a fence? I heard about the construction and that is so much what has me into such a panic. I can just see it now, the contruction workers saying "whoops, didnt know anything about any graves being here!" Do you have any idea what the construction is for? I wonder if it has been sold for a business or something. I am afraid, even if it is just to widen the road, that it will take some of the graves. A SC cousin recently went to the Sheriff's Office, the Judge and the Senator...they all said they couldn't do anything...that private property is private. The historians interpret the law differently, more like you said. I think it is a pitiful thing for the town to forget about the people who worked at the "Historic" Brandon Mill. All of the local historians and officials so far, say they never knew anything about the cemetery. I am sure there must be hundreds of graves in there, it was about 6 or 7 acres. It was the cemetery for the mill, not just my family. Thanks, Pat Wells
