Gosnell, 84, retired farmer of upper Greenville County, died in the Travelers Rest hospital at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday after a period of declining health and a serious illness of one week. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gosnell and a member of the Freeville Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Willie Gosnell; a daughter, Mrs. Will Cabe; step-son, Joe Stamey; four step-daughters, Mrs. Emma Poore, Mrs. Nancy Gentry, Mrs. Grace Gosnell and Mrs. Kate Watson, also 15 grandchildren. SARA GOSNELL TRAVELERS REST, Nov. 14 - Mrs. Sara McJunkin Gosnell, 83, wife of P.D. Gosnell, Route 2, Saluda Township, died at 1 a.m. this morning. She was born in Pickens County and was a daughter of the late Joe and Nancy Hall McJunkin. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in upper Greenville County. Mrs. Gosnell is survived by her husband; five children from a former marriage, Joe Stamey, Mrs. Jeff Gentry, Mrs. Edward Gosnell, Mrs. Kate Pittman and Mrs. Emma Moore; 39 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Joe Berry McJunkins. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Monday at 3 p.m. and burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery by Rev. W.S. Odom and Rev. Homer Couch.
