Does anyone know what Pickens Co was in the 1850 census? I find it on Hertiage Quest as East and West. Having trouble finding it in General Web keeps coming up Pickens Co Ga. Thanks in advance.

Pickens Co SC was Pickens Co in the 1850 census. Pickens County was created in 1826 out of Pendleton District. I don't use Heritage Quest very much so can't answer why they would have it divided into two separate entities. Suzanne C.
