Roberta, Call 864-467-7240 which is the register of deeds here in Greenville county.......if you have the deed referances they will help you with copies,but they will not do much research for documents you might want. If you have trouble getting what you need from the folks at the Register of Deeds office, call or email me here at the library. We have the vast majority of the old Greenville County deeds on microfilm, and are prepared to do more in terms of research on your behalf than the folks at the RoD. I'm pretty sure we do charge more for deed copies, though, so if you find you can get what you're looking for from the County, by all means go with them.
