According to it, he was 57 years old and was a native of Laurens County, though he had spent most of his life in Greenville. He was survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. J.H. Williams & Mrs. Earl W. Gosnell; a sister, Janie Evans; and a brother, Lee Monroe. No mention of wife or parents.
