Minutes of the court of pleas and quarter sessions. 1768-79. "Johnathan Potts and Jean Potts orphan children of Jerimiah Potts, deceased. Came into court being of lawful age to choose their guardian, made choice of Thomas SPRIGGS as their guardian accordingly who entered into bond with thus security in the sum of 500 pounds for the faithful discharge of the said trust. Ordered that Ezekial POTTS pay and deliver into the hands of the said guardian all such sums of money becomming due the said orphans whether by rent of land or otherwise."
