Robert and Wla, I've been researching my JOHNSTON, YOUNG, and PARKER ancestors along the northern branches of the Saluda River in north Greenville District, SC for three years and I am sorry to report that there are only scattered reference works giving details of settlers in that region between the Revolutionary War and 1820. I would recommend you contact the staff of the Greenville Public Library who have been helpful to me through the mails. Please tell us the names of your respective ancestors and you might get lucky! Of course, if their names are JOHNSTON, JOHNSON, YOUNG, PARKER, NORRIS, or HUDSON, I will want to talk to you. My ancestors had nearly all moved on west by 1820. Bruce Nichols
